I started this diet 2 weeks ago and after a 6 pound loss, I have been at the same weight for the last 5 days. I am highly frustrated. I had a baby 12 weeks ago and not b-feeding. I am simply trying to lose 20 lbs of baby weight to get into my pre-pregnancy clothes. Is it possible that even though I have eliminated all sugar (except what is in fruit), all breads, all caffeine, all dairy and all meat, if I don't eat *enough* fruits and veggies that I won't lose? It's difficult for me to eat the amounts suggested. For one, I have 2 other kids besides an infant and by the time I'm able to prepare my own meal, it's time for the baby to eat, or something happens requiring my attention. After 3 days of misery (headaches and lethargy as I detoxed), I came out feeling refreshed and my head clear. I felt better than ever. I want to stay on this diet, but I also really need to lose this baby weight. Why am I at a plateau after such a short time (and I have been going to the gym as well - elliptical machine and circuit training)? Thanks for any help you can offer.
