Dr. Fuhrman would say that yeast overgrowth is a result of poor nutrition or use of anti-biotics, and in order to fix the problem you need to eat a more nutrient dense diet. He would not have you limit fresh fruit, rather would have you remove any junk food or processed foods from your diet.

Also, for people who have been subjected to anti-biotics, he normally recommends taking a pro-biotic.
