I've been vegan since 1990 and doing ETL only since April 2006. Our daily menus are pretty much the same:
Breakfast: one of three smoothie recipes, either chocolate cherry with blueberries, spinach & flax or Moon's Purple Delight (more blueberries, and add pineapple & instead of cherries & cocoa) or Refreshing Sunrise (carrots, pineapple, lemon, ginger) and 1 oz of raw nuts (almonds, pistachios or cashews)
Lunch: a huge salad (spinach, mixed greens, garbanzo beans, 1/2 avocado, red pepper, carrots, baby tomatoes, 1 oz raw pumpkin or sunflower seeds and flavored vinegar (no oil) for dressing.
Dinner: homemade soup (any recipe with beans or lentils and lots of cooked veggies). Current favorites are Kale-Fennel soup and Golden Austrian Cauliflower Cream Soup.
Dessert: Bree's chocolate cherry vita-mix ice cream with Wax Orchard chocolate sauce.
NO SNACKS.
My husband and I both lost 25 pounds and have kept it off. All recipes are from Dr. F's website where I've been a member since I started. Hope that helps.
