Hi Miffy, I'm not sure exactly how long it will take you to go through the detox, but I would be thinking you would be getting near the end of it unless you are using caffeine or you are on medications. I think you will find that if you combine nuts and beans at the same meal at lunch time it should be satiating, and should hold you over until dinner. For example, today I had black bean soup for lunch, and a green salad with walnuts and raspberry vinagrette. I also had some fruit as well. My portion of black bean soup had about a cup of cooked black beans in it, and there was an ounce of walnuts in my salad. I normally have a total of 2 ounces of nuts a day, half at lunch, and half at dinner, and I eat my cup of beans at lunch time. If you tell me what you usually eat on a typical day, I might have some additional insight as well. BTW, I don't need to lose any more weight at this point, but a lot of people would probably lose weight if they ate the same diet I eat since I'm a small person. I'm 4'11" and weigh around 91 pounds.
