Sparky I completely agree with you. All of these plans have such wonderful points. I currently follow Dr. FUhrman's diet but I also keep Mcdougall and Barnard in mind. I have all three Dr.'s books and use all three Dr.'s recipes. I think Dr. Fuhrman is ideal but I also like to include more startches as with McDougall and once in a while I will use a bit of added oil for cooking purposes. ALso FUhrman requests you give up all salt, I find it difficult to do this so I try to greatly reduce my salt and only add it at the table as McDougall suggests. I feel with Dr. Fuhrman I get in more veggies whereas on McDouaglls I easily neglect green veggies because they aren't as stressed, but again I do think all plans are great and either will make you healthier. It seems that each plan simply suits different people. Which is great, I mean the plans are very similar.
