Thanks, Rima.

Dh cooks on Saturday and Sunday mornings. The kids have to eat somewhat healthy breakfasts on weekdays, since dh isn't here and I insist that the kids eat whole grains. Dh fixes artery-clogging breakfasts of things like eggs, bacon, sausage, and scrapple. Dh is too tired to cook when he comes home from work. He often has late meetings to attend, and he never knows what time he'll be getting home. Besides, I'm a SAHM (and I homeschool our four kids), so cooking naturally falls into my area of responsibility. I've been getting the kids to help me some lately, and I need to do more of that.

I don't live in a drought area, and my water bills aren't very high, but I know what you mean about the water usage. It does take a lot of water to wash veggies, especially greens.
