if you call 8 pieces a lot of fruit, or too much, ill be getting worried for myself. i can eat sometimes up to at least 15 or more.. i could be considered a "fruitarian". i dont eat a lot except fruit.. as you, i Love fruit, and i would find it really hard not to eat it. and there is no reason i should, but maybe not in that amount. There is no reason for you to stop eating fruit either, and i think 8 pieces is still fine! if you keep on eating that amount or even more a day i dont think that you will have any problem with losing weight, you just maybe need to consider what else you are eating and how much you are exercising which cause you not to loose weight. its better not to go on a diet, which means cutting off certain foods, because 1.its not healthy and 2.some diets may make you loose weight but the effects of a diet can be contrary to what you wanted: gain back the weight you had maybe even more. so the best is to combine every kind of food and eat it with a balance. i know its kind of hypocritical for me to say this as im myself not having a balanced eating pattern at all, but i am going to change this habit and cut down the fruit a little and eat other stuff too which the body needs to function correctly. anyhow, fruit is one of natures Greatest creations, and i wouldnt stop eating it, theres nothing bad about it (of course, to a certain extend, as any other food) and it only gives you vitamines and pleasure to eat. :) all the best!
