Subject:         Anyone over 45 doing ETL - do you feel better? losing weight?
Date: July 18, 2006 at 8:03 am PST

Hi all, I'm 54 years old, feeling rather old these days, very tired, and have gained weight the last year or so (which I cannot seem to loose). Most of my life I have not eaten well, junk and sugar. The last few years I have been making changes to my eating habits, and as of now I can say that I eat rather healthy (teased about it by my kids and my co-workers), but I know I can still do better. The last few years I have cut sugar and refined food out of my diet, and eat lots of veggies.

However, I feel tired all the time (I have for YEARS), and I cannot seem to lose any weight at all. My doctor says I'm "fine".

The lack of energy really has me down, I'm sure if I felt better I'd be more inclined to exercise more.

I read about these different ways of eating, and people's success stories, but either the anecdotes are of younger people, or people that have always eaten in un-healthy ways (so naturally a more healthy way of eating would cause them to see results)!

I'm wondering who might be out there, who might be closer to my age that took up this WOE and is feeling better.

I am willing to do what ever it takes to feel better, and I have started to eat according to ETL (just the last few days). I am making this my committment, and will stick to it for 6 weeks, and make an assessment then.

Any words of encouragement will be much appreciated!

Thank you! -Peg
