I have a still breastfeeding 2yo child. While pregnant I did the Eat to Live 90% maintenance plan and had a wonderful, slim pregnancy. I lost all baby weight within a WEEK of delivery and returned to a 20 BMI (I'm Asian and very small boned, so 20-21 BMI is ideal for me). Six months later we had a series of family crises and I got so busy and stressed out I completely stopped taking care of myself, too busy to exercise, etc. I gained back nearly 30 lbs. Then I went back on E2L and lost about 20 lbs. I got discouraged because I couldn't lose the last 10 and made the mistake of going off E2L again. I gained the 20 lbs right back. Now, a year later, I've gone back on E2L and cannot lose ANYTHING!. I'm still breasfeeding "snack-style" several times a day and night. I've been on the 90% plan for 5 weeks now. At the same time I began E2L this time, I went from working out at the gym once to three times a week. So I've reduced my daily calories by at least 1/3, doubled or tripled my exercise routine, and still haven't lost a single pound. I'm getting so discouraged!! But I know if I quit now I'l just gain weight again. I know the exercise is working because my stamina and weightlifting have improved hugely, but I'm still stuck at a 24 BMI, which feels heavy to me. Any advice? Could it be that I need to go totally vegan? OR is my body "hanging on" to the weight because I'm nursing? I never had problems losing weight on Furhman before. Heeelllp! Thanks for looking at this.
