I agree that even when we don't follow the plan exactly, we're still eating very healthy foods. 80% E2L is not something to beat yourself up over in my opinion. It's hard living surrounded by the SAD and SAD eaters. Especially when dealing with eating issues on top of just normal temptations that everyone faces. We have it especially hard but that's one thing that is so great about E2L for me. I can eat so much food (which is my complusion) and it is so healthy and low calorie that I can actually lose weight and feel great. It's the psychological challenge of thinking we need something "different", something rich or fattening to give us the comfort we seek, that makes it difficult to adhere to 100% of the time. I'm using the royal we here but I'm speaking for myself. Some days I know I'll be able to stick to E2L 100%, others I won't. I've made a promise to myself not to let any slips derail me for long. Today was my first day back on the plan after a year and it was hard to stick to mainly because I have so much SAD still in the house. In a few days (hopefully) all the foods I shouldn't be eating will be gone. And no, I can't bring myself to throw food out! I'll just do my best with what I have going on. That said, the food I ate today...
1 papaya with lime juice
2 small peaches
10 oz bag shredded green cabbage
6 oz shredded carrots
vinegar dressing
1 cup steel cut oats
1 cup silk lite soymilk
1 TBL flax
cinnamon
1 cup cherries
stuff I ate not on plan -
glass of orange juice
4 pringle potato chips
5 or 6 big bites of oven roasted turkey breast
So I didn't get any cooked veggies in. Had I not scarfed down the chips and turkey I could've had some green beans or something. Tomorrow I'm hoping to skip the chips and turkey and get some cooked veggies in.
