Both doctors believe it is better to consume the whole fruit in order to get all the nutrients and fiber rather than the juice. Juice has most of the fiber removed, which is beneficial in digestion and has some nutrients still contained in the fiber. Removing the fiber also means that your blood sugar will spike more rapidly, thereby increasing the insulin your body releases and causing a subsequent blood sugar drop which may cause you to consume more calories than necessary. Use juicing very little especially if you're overweight. If you are already fit and healthy, it isn't as crucial.
