I have had a hard time sticking to this diet, and one of my problems is this: I work on a bike 6-7 hours a day, and I always get hungry after about two hours - even if I eat before I leave. I work in Times Square, which must be the cornicopia of junk food. The only cheap food available from the pushcarts that I'll even eat is a knish, which is of course far removed from anything I should be eating on this plan. However, I don't have room to pack a huge salad, and the vegetables that are small enough to pack don't fill me up, anyway. Even a Luna bar doesn't fill me up. Bananas, the only fruit I've found that is actually filling, are terrible to pack and always get damaged or destroyed in transit. I don't want to eat a lot of nuts because I really need to lose weight (I've barely lost any weight at this job for over a year). So, my question is, what do you suggest I do for a filling, compact, and convenient snack for my long, hard day?
