Well I don't have RA officially but do (rather did--- because it's mostly a thing of the past) have autoimmune arthritis. The protocol for this disease is:
1) Juicing cruciferous greens
2) Blended salads with lettuce, spinach, kale (some cruciferous if you can)
3) Steamed cruciferous greens--atleast 10-12 ounces
4) Blended soups with cruciferous greens
5) Metagenics Fish oil (to replace your drugs which you can wean off)
6) No salt, oil, flour, wheat, and other forbiddens in the 100% Etl plan
7) Don't over eat
8) Limit bean/lentil consumption to about 1/2 cup per day--even better to split the serving into two.
9) Fasting as mentioned but you should do the diet first to get your nutrient levels way up before you fast and then only with Dr Fuhrman's advice FIRST. The diet is the cure not a fast. Although fasting is truely beneficial and can help speed things up.

This is all outlined in detail in Dr Fuhrman's newletter on autoimmune disease which you can get for free by going to his website and signing up for his mailing list. It's on his homepage.

Good luck and let me know if you have any more questions. Try to do some homework yourself.

The best to you!
Shelly
