My wife won't read books either. Here are two suggestions- get Dr. Fuhrman's video and watch that. People aren't as resistant to just sitting and watching a video. There is also a video version of Diet For a New America which we have. That can sometimes convince people to eat fewer animal products for a variety of reasons- health, environment, and compassion.
The other thing I did was set my wife up for a consult with Dr. Fuhrman on the phone. It wasn't cheap and he was somewhat lacking in the bedside manner department, but it got her to change her diet and was worth so much more than all the $$ we were spending on acupuncture, allergy shots, etc. She hasn't been this healthy in years.
I have realized that I am the last person in the world who can convince my wife of something even though I am a lawyer, someone who is professionally trained in convincing people. But, I don't just give up- I look for another way of convincing her of things- usually someone else. She enjoys talking to people and that is how she learns things. Look for your husband's learning style and try to use that.
But, all that said, you can allow your husband to eat what he wants and you and your children can only eat healthy food. You don't have to buy or make unhealthy food. If he wants it, he can buy or fix it himself. Meanwhile, you and your children can be healthy. Above all, DO NOT NAG. That only builds up resistance and makes any change harder. Even Dr. Fuhrman agrees that people have the right to make their own food choices. Your husband has that right also. Respect it. But also respect your own right to make your own food choices and to feed your children only healthy food.

Best wishes to you and your family,

Ron
