You are buying directly from the grower. That is great, because he/she sees a greater return on THEIR investment. You are helping your local economy thrive.

That being said, I think those are very good prices. Additionally, pay now or pay later: we don't know the longterm risk of eating pesticides, and with the large amount of veggies we eat around here, the less the better!

I grow as much of my own as possible, with no chemicals. That's the cheapest yet!
