Subject:	Organic produce prices?

I found a local farmer that grows organic vegetables and is on my way to work. I purchased the following from them:
Kale: $3 for 1.25 lb.
Mesclan greens mix: $3 for 0.9 lb.
beet greens: $3 for 0.9 lb.

Does this seem like a good deal or a rip-off? I know I can get non-organic much cheaper and organic from the grocery store is comparable, but I know my money is going to a family instead of the corporate bottom line.
