That would be about Midwesterners and desserts. I was born and raised and still live in the Midwest. While I certainly know people who like their sweets and treats (and I'm one of them, unfortunately), I don't know anyone who routinely has dessert. I never have known anyone like that. So, instead of that being a regional thing, I think it's more familial.
