Hi, I would like to hear from anyone who has Lupus. Woke up on morning all swollen on my hands, feet, legs. All joints hurt so badly. Absolutely no strength, couldn't even pour a glass of water from the pitcher. Felt like a 100 yr. old woman instead of a 41 yr. old. Swelling never went down, only just very slightly. Had severe migraines every day. Having blurry vision problems. All this lasted for a week before I went to the doctor. Preliminary screening tests indicate Lupus. Am currently undergoing a battery of tests as all tests so far show elevated counts of everything! Currently waiting for test results for the confirmation of Lupus. Rhumatoid arthiritis test showed up negative. Currently on mega dose of Prednizone for one week. Doctors almost guarantee after I get off this medication in a couple days that everything will come back. Was told of the horrors and nastiness of this drug. Guess that's why they only keep people on it for a very short time. Problem is, should everything come back after getting of Prednizone they will need to up my dosage, which they are reluctant to do because of the nastiness of the drug, it will present a whole new set of problems. Would love to hear from anyone who has or has dealt with someone with Lupus. Thanks!
