Hi and thanks again for sharing your experiences.
I agree that where you live matters. I'm in British Columbia, so winters can be tough on all raw. Sometimes I just want hot food, you know!
I second the advice to start eating cooked slowly, as if breaking a fast. I too jumped back into hard to digest cooked foods too quickly and felt just awful. At the moment, I'm kind of waffling between wanting to be all raw for the physical benefits and the less stringent E2L way for a mental break.
I too have found that simple steamed veggies are by far the easiest cooked thing for me to eat. White and sweet potatoes aren't too bad either, but do make me a bit tired and groggy. Beans and grains -- forget it. I can't handle either of those.
I've just started adding coconut oil to my diet as a little experiment in combatting the fatigue that has accompanied my return to eating some cooked food. My plan is to take 3T per day (the recommended dosage as far as I can tell) for a couple of weeks and see how it goes. I'm not sure what Dr. Fuhrman's opinion on coconut oil is (my guess is that he's not a fan), but it's my own little experiment.
Is your entire family doing Graham's 80-10-10 approach? Have you tried a more "gourmet" style of raw, and, if so, what was your take on it?
