In the video Dr Fuhrman discusses why an all raw diet is not optimal (I don't think he explicitly covers this particular issue in any of the books). In a nutshell, it is very difficult to make an all-raw diet vegetable-based. Raw foodists must consume more of the higher calorie, lower nutrient density foods such as fruits, nuts and seeds to prevent from becoming calorie deficient. If you try to base your diet on raw vegetables, you simply "Can't fit it all in" and you get too thin. To achieve a vegetable based diet and not be calorie deficient, you must eat cooked vegetables along with the raw. Also, he notes that some nutrients are better absorbed when cooked.

Also, the charts and graphs that appear black and white in the book are color in the video (albeit, many of the charts in the video are illegible.)

But mostly, the "Greatest Diet on Earth" is a 1.5 hour summary of the book "Eat to Live". I highly recommend it to folks who don't have time to read a book but can watch a video.
