I do a combination of McDougall and Fuhrman, eating far less grains than McDougall suggests (although some at most meals; just not a lot) and more fruit than McDougall suggests. Triglycerides have not been a problem. In the past there have been a number of people whose triglycerides either didn't go down or went up while McDougalling. Limiting fruit didn't take care of the problem. Those who have tried the opposite approach and limited grains have been successful.
