By any chance have you tried adding cranberries?

My "typical" smoothie these days consists of 1 banana, 1/2 c. orange juice, 5 strawberries (frozen and thawed overnight in the fridge), about 1/2 cup (or a bit more) frozen chopped spinach, and usually about 5 frozen cranberries. The cranberries pretty much overwhelm everything else.

I don't know if it would work with other greens though - spinach has a very mild taste to begin with.

I don't like greens either, whether frozen, fresh or otherwise, but I can get this down with no trouble. But I think you're right, people's taste buds do differ a good deal. (I don't think I could do a blended salad for anything, but there are folks who swear by them.)
