Okay, so I will start by saying that I have always been repulsed by salads; especially salad dressings. It's got to be the ugliest, most repugnant stuff in the world. I'm strange when it comes to certain foods...especially condiments. I don't eat them, don't care to try them, don't like the look of them, the smell of them, or the sight of them. So maybe it's the dressings on the salads that put the fear of hell into me. I tried though. Lord as my witness...I tried. I can somewhat deal with romaine lettuce, spinach, red onion, garbanzo beans, sprouts, and black beans. Didn't say I love it...but I can deal with it. Today I brought an herb salad to work (one of those pre-packaged, pre-washed deals). It was so vile and bitter and just disgusting. I tossed it and went to the supermarket for mac & cheese, chicken, and oreos. I know...I'm terrible. Believe you me, I hate myself for it. I try to stay away from the salt, so I usually squeeze an orange over the salad and cut half of it into the salad. Can someone out there please give me some advice? I really want to get into the habit of eating more salads. If I can get a few down a week for now, that is good. Eventually I would like to eat them everyday, but man, this stuff is so nasty. How can one seriously enjoy this stuff when such tasty delights as baked ziti or fried chicken lay basking in trays at the corner supermarket. I know, I know...what would I rather have? A healthy, vibrant body, or clogged arteries. That's a no-brainer. I'll take the former of course. I love to be healthy, but please, someone help me train these finicky taste buds of mine so I can get these salads down and do my body some good. Thanks...and sorry for the novel. Jeff
