Hi - I haven't actually started ETL yet, though I've already started some of the recommendations like a pound of cooked greens a day. I have read the book, but hope someone can clarify the juicing thing for me. In his blog today, Dr. Fuhrman suggests that a migraine sufferer "juice" cruciferous vegetables with carrots or tomatoes, and eat blended salads. Would this be Vitamixing broccoli, kale, etc. with carrots or tomatoes? I've blended romaine and spinach in smoothies in my regular blender, but I can't imagine that machine truly juicing broccoli. Can anyone explain? Page numbers in the book, recipes, alternatives to buying a Vitamix all welcome!

I am not a big fan of smoothies, but am willing to learn.

(I'm planning to start ETL after a big grocery shopping trip this weekend)
