Only my grain of choice is whole grain bread. If you think of the food pyramid with grains/starches at the base and a recommendation of 6-11 (or however many) servings daily, the number of servings I eat is on the low end, or even lower. There's a serving or two at each meal, usually less than a cup of cooked grains and/or a slice or two of whole grain bread, or a pita. I typically eat soup for lunch and most of the soups I make have either starchy vegetables or grains in them, or both.
