It has been said that citrus does kill the bad bacteria in the mouth that causes oders. You also might want to try scrapping your toungue. You would not believe the amount of gunk that is collected on it. It is amazing. It is like giving your tongue a deep carpet cleaning.

Also at night, I dip a plastic toothpick in some tea tree oil and scrape my teeth with it. It helps break down plaque that can lead to mouth oders. Mind you, not a lot of tea tree oil is needed and I do not swallow it (the tea tree).
