i am not really an ETLer anymore, but i used to be. i mostly eat things on etl,
but have not been eating enough beans and greens to be considered etl.
my mother passed aways two months ago and within that time, i have lost
17lbs. now, i know that 17lbs is not a ton of weight to have lost in two
months, but i am a bit worried about not getting enough calories. i expect my
appetite will return at some point, but it has definately diminished. i weigh
155 now and am 5'6. i am actually at a "healthy weight" for the first time in 5
years and don't feel unwell at all.
i guess i just want to know whether i am doing my body damage. i exercise a
few times a week and actually feel fitter than i have, but am not eating much.
i have no cravings for "junk foods" or foods high in fat right now. i am mostly
eating citrus fruit (tons of clementines and grapefruit) and vegetable soup
(with added frozen veggies). i do drink a cup of coffee with soy milk in the
mornings (i cannot stop this right now) and herbal tea during the day. i
mostly drink sparkling water as cold beverages.
more specifically, i probably eat the following each day:
-2 grapefruit
-8-10 clementines
-one can of veg soup with spinach added
- some days i will have a little (3 tbsp or so) trail mix or nuts or half- whole
luna bar
i don't think i am getting more than 700-900 calories per day. eating more is
not really an option for me right now. i just cannot do it. i've never lost my
appetite like this before (i have depression), but i want to know if i am going
to do my body serious damage by having so few calories.
thank you so much for your input in advance.
