I think you'd really have to see the container to know for sure. Most commercial vinaigrettes do contain oil, yes. The question is, how much? I bought one at our HFS to take to a potluck and it had so little oil that I did end up using it, but any more than 1.5 gm fat per serving and I skip it.

My homemade vinaigrette has no added oil, of course.
