| | Subject: | Literally no limit on fruits Dr. Fuhrman? | |
Date: | December 4, 2005 at 3:22 pm PST |
I've experimented with a raw fruitarian diet, and I certainly saw some benefits from it, but in the end I found the that I needed to add in some cooked foods for optimal health. However, I did find that I felt very well when I ate fruits in very large quantities, in the realm of 10 bananas for breakfast, etc. I'm very athletically active- running, yoga, climbing, etc- and so I've been trying to find a diet that gives me the most energy and solves some of the medical concerns which hinder my enjoyment of life (poor digestion, dry skin) My question for Dr. Fuhrman is, can I literally have as much fruit as I want? I don't fear weight gain, as I have already seen that it won't happen with my fruitarian experiment. However, is there any danger from the sugar long term? Raw fruitarians believe that because of the type of sugar in fruit, you don't have to worry about it. Is diabetes an issue? Any input would be great. Thanks, Luke
