Read Dr Fuhrman's book: "Fasting and Eating for Health". It describes how and why getting off of steroids is particularly hard. Severe asthma is one of those stubborn, tough-to-cure diseases that can require a medically supervised fast to cure - especially if you have been taking steroids for a long time.
