She has been on steroids for fifteen years due to asthma. She is morbidly obese(medical description) and developed an ulcer on her leg about a year ago which took months to heal. She was in a lot of pain during this time. It seemed to have healed and then suddenly over thanksgiving weekend she was rushed to the er in tremendous pain. They discovered an aggressive bacteria had entered our bloodstream. They basicaly told us she was as good as dead. She might not make it through anesthesia and if she did survive the surgery, they might have to remove her leg. She made it through the first two surgeries and according to them is recovering remarkably well. They said she may have six more surgeries. Its too soon to tell if she will have to lose the leg. She has several more surgeries to go. I just want her to get her life back through healthy eating. She is only 43. I am vegan. I want to get her off steroids if possible. I just want her to be happy.
