Hi,

Depends on if you're counting percentage of calories from protein or percentage of volume. Percentage of calories (such as what Dr. Fuhrman does) is more accurate because it doesn't figure in the water content of the food item. Water has no calories and no nutritional value. This is why Dr. Fuhrman argues that volume based measurements distort the amount of fat in animal products, esp. milk.
