I'm not sure exactly what is going on, but it sounds like you are having a hard time translating the book to your life. Need more info. on your life.
Here are some things that work for me. No junk food in the house. If it's there, you will eat it at some time. No shopping at convenience stores. Always have salad on hand. Eat it first- lots of it for lunch and dinner. Eat all the salad & greens you want. You may want to have a small cooler on hand so salad is always there.
It's easier for me to have clear black letter rules, rather than always having to make decisions. It's just a rule that I don't eat animal products or sugar, for example.
Meals are easy- salad, some fresh or frozen vegetables- steamed, and heat up a can of beans. Snacks- have apples or other fruit on hand- or frozen fruit.
There is an adjustment period. Dr. Fuhrman says to commit to it for a period of 6 weeks. You may have some withdrawal symptoms- you may have been addicted to sugar or animal fat. By 6 weeks, you'll be over that and be feeling great!
You can e-mail me if you have more specific questions.

Blessings,

Ron
