much of the work being done in gmo is to cut chemicals. (My own belief is that we cut chemicals and land usage). So even though we could cut land usage dastrically by growing food in the best facilities that would cut land usage and energy usage, with solar power, you still advocate destroying the praries?? Not only that but the sterile environments would mean clean healthy food. The current ag industry wants to block this kind of change because it will make less money unless it changes. Living in the midwest and seeing the destruction firsthand I don't see why anyone wants to continue destroying land with gmo or non-gmo. So focusing on gmo is pointless, the seed companies aren't slowing their research and farmers and most of the public doesn't care. The smaller companies with the courage to work on growing food in skyscraper sized buildings should be encouraged. But it doesn't matter how big the company is as long as it's doing the right thing. It's not about corporations it's about us. Did you make your computer by hand with stone tools or did a corporation??
