Subject:	Homemade laundry detergent...?

I'm sure this has been asked a million times here. But I'm new and I don't know how to get the info. I don't ever want to use laundry detergent anymore. Can somebody give me a GREEN recipe that won't hurt the environment and I can make it at home? Especially if it has bicarb of soda in it (I have some in bulk already). Is it natural to use, by the way? In fact, I'd like to give up ALL cleaning chemicals...any advice on what I can make. I don't want to have to buy it. I'd like to know what I can use to replace bleach for whitening whites, too. Any help? Thanks so much...
