I work toward creating a connection between people and their pinon forests through the pine nut. The BLM spends millions of tax dollars managing and "improving" (deforesting) public lands for cattle grazing. I work toward impacting management policy with the pine nut as an alternative land use. In 1936, 8 million pound of American pine nuts were shipped from Gallop New Mexico. There has been no harvest there for 4 years. What happened to the American Pine nut? http://www.pinenut.com/art2.htm.
I have 8 years of research and study into public lands management and pine nuts. This work is my passion. If you can share the information it is apperciated. If you have a pine nut question, just ask me. I love my work. Penny
