Okay, my SIL has type II diabetes and has always been active and very, very thin. She doesn't have a family history of it, either. I was talking to my sister (not SIL) who also has type II, and she said that her diabetes educator said that more and more thinner people nowadays are getting type II diabetes. Does this make sense to anyone? Why would this happen? I'm wondering if there is something about today's diet that causes it even when it doesn't cause overweight.
