I tried Byetta and it made me GAIN weight, not lose it as my doctor said it would, AND it made me sick as a dog...I have Type II diabetes, but my pancreas has just about called it quits, so I am now on insulin, delivered via a pump. It has vastly improved my numbers, and I have lost quite a bit of weight as well. I use a synthetic insulin (Humalog), so I know that no animals had to suffer, which makes me a happy camper!
