Subject:         HELP! WITH HYPOGLYCEMIA DIET
Date: July 13, 2006 at 12:54 am PST

Since hypoglycemia and diabetes are somewhat related I need some advice on changing my diet. First off, I am 27 and have been vegan for 7 years. I have been having slight hypoglycemic reactions for the last few weeks(drowsy, headaches always after meals)and am pretty sure my teenage boy diet is to blame. That diet consists of eating until you get very full at each meal. I realize now that while its all healthy and natural food, it is too much and I need to switch to smaller, frequent meals. Only problem is if I eat too little I feel the same symptoms. What eating programs, portion sizes, etc can you recommend? I tried one from a book by Gary Null, with each meal totaling no more than 14oz, but I think it was meant for weight loss, and I am not trying to lose weight. I just want to feel light and have constant energy all day. No more Highs and Lows.
