It's great to eat beans with breakfast. The protein slows the uptake of carbs and reduces blood sugar spikes. We serve beans or this chilli recipe every morning in our restaurant with breakfast. This chilli recipe has become my favorite. Enjoy! LCA Chili 2 Tbs Olive oil (could substitute ¼ cup water for even lower fat) In large saucepan over medium heat, sauté the onions, green peppers and garlic in oil or water until onions are soft. Add the seasonings and sauté for 2 minutes. Add burger crumbles and remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil and reduce the heat to a simmer. Yield: 11 1/2 cups (23 1/2 cup servings) Nutritional Analysis Diabetic Exchange: 1 Carbohydrate and 1 Protein
