Hello Tammi: Sorry I didn't reply sooner, but I've been busy on global warming. I know a lot of people who have died from cigarette smoking at early ages. I also know a lot of people who have had heart attacks as early as in their thirties. So your parents must have been pretty lucky. As for me, I don't feel lucky, so I'll stick with my mainly vegan diet, except for a little chicken and eggs every now and then. Oh. My mother's parents died at 50 (grandpa) and 51 (grandma). They were very successful in business, and ate a very rich diet, with plenty of meat, poultry, dairy, eggs, etc. I have her genes, as is evidenced by my facial features and height. I'll be 69 in a while, and have a mild case of cystic fibrosis. I'm the oldest patient in the local CF clinic. Actually, they're pretty surprised at how well I'm doing. Their dietician asked me "how do you get your protein?". So maybe I'll convince them to advise their patients to go mainly vegan. Time will tell.
