Hi Jack. We can't really say that is was due to good genes cuz my grandma and grandpa have different genes. Actually, everyone in that rural area are farmers that eat their own meat and anything they want and no one has had a heart attack or cancer or anything. My dad had NEVER seen a doctor until he was 71. He also smokes like a fiend. Go figure. I think the growth hormones and antibiotics and stuff they inject into livestock nowadays has something to do with it as well. In grandma and grandpa's day, they never used any "chemicals". But now that my brother is farming, he is using growth hormone. I won't eat the meat. You can imagine how popular this makes me in my 5-generation farm family. HA! I don't drink milk either. Go figure.
