Subject:         How eating red meat can spur cancer progression. New mechanism discovered.

How about this?

On the front page of VegSource right now is the article on statin drugs reducing the incidence of heart attacks and stroke. The proposed mechanism there is that the statins reduce inflammation, thus protecting the lining of the arteries.

Well, avoiding red meat has a similar effect. I wonder what the relative magnitude of the two methods are? Certainly avoiding red meat is far less costly than taking statin drugs, and it presents no side effects. Besides that, I don't even like red meat. It gives me leg cramps in the middle of the night, and an acid stomach. Not to mention all the other serious side effects of eating the stuff.
