Very good point. I've been putting a tablespoon of ground flax in my oatmeal for years. Seems to be working very well, but when I read these studies, I always wonder.
I take special precaution to not eat any saturated, trans, or omega 6 fat after eating the flax. The other fats I eat are natural peanut butter, and walnuts. If I have a donut, or sweet roll, I have it in the afternoon, so as hopefully, not to interfere with the metabolism of the flax.
I did buy a can of sardines tuesday, but haven't opened them yet. Might be a while before I do.
