Thanks, Keith. Point taken. I wasn't trying to bash Christianity, only trying to draw some comparisons between Buddhism and what Chrstianity, perhaps, could have been. Sorry if I crossed a line. I'm very interested in the aspects of theologies that are similar. I believe these commonalities hold truth. For now, I'm going to keep reading and stay tuned to this forum. Whenever I feel a need to ground myself in a belief set I can put a name to, it has been Buddhism for a long time. It always makes sense and I always take something positive away with me. Many years ago (30), I attended a Buddhist temple(?) in Norfolk, VA. They chanted. A lot. In more recent years, I attended in Columbus, OH (where we liove now) and they were more focused on meditation. I have trouble staying focused in meditation, although I realize that practice will probably help. I frankly didn't get much out of chanting, but I admit it was easier to stay focused. What is your take on it? Do you have a preference? Why? Sorry. I'm not trying to quiz you (or anyone else that might want to jump in). I'm interested in real discourse and opinions. Sometimes just reading isn't enough. Thanks for your patience,
