That sounds like a enlightening experience!! This coming up week, I am trying 2 new centers. One is Zen on Monday and one is Thich Nhat Hanh tradition on Thursday. I've been taking a class on Shamantha: 9 Stages and its wonderful! We talked about preparing for meditation, gathering the mind in concentric circles to focus the mind from greater distractions in our life-outside, to more sudtle distractions, inside. We then talked about the ability to hold the mind on an object. This is Tibetan version, so the object of focus they use is always the breathe. We spent a lot of time talking about the clouds in the mind and how the purpose is not to empty the mind of them, but to strengthen the mind to be mindful and develop an awareness of them. This is called presently knowing. Little tired now so I can't remember exactly what was said!! All that said, um, uh, my meditation practice hasn't been as regular, opps! I wasn't feeling really good and was unfocused for a few days. But starting tomorrow, I'm back on track!
