I checked out _Being Noboday, Going Nowhere_meditations on the Buddhist Path_ by Ayya Khema from the library and I am really enjoying it. Her writing is clear and straightforward and she has some great ways of explaining things. I might want to buy this so I can read it again and again.

Here's a bit of what's in the table of contents:

1.Meditation--why and how
2.Meditation Affects Our Lives
3.Calm and Insight

4.Four Friends
loving-kindness
compassion
sympathetic joy
equanimity

5.Loving-Kindness Meditation

6.Five Hindrances
sensual desire
ill will
sloth and torpor
restlessness and worry
skeptical doubt

7.Kamma and Rebirth
8.Discourse on Loving-Kindness
9.Four Kinds of Happiness

10.The Five Aggregates
the body
feeling
perceptions
mental formations
sense consciousness

11.Ten Virtues
generosity
moral conduct
renunciation
wisdom
etc.

12.The Four Noble Truths and the Noble 8Fold Path
13.A New Beginning
