Subject:	Hair Loss During Pregnancy

I too have experienced diffuse hair shedding/loss while pregnant. After visiting three dermatologists, my pcp, and obgyn I have come to the conclusion that the hair loss began due to the cessation of birth control. Once the hair began falling out I became pregnant. Over the course of 8 months, I have lost a significant amount of hair, but remain hopeful that it is due to the recent hormonal fluctuations. I have been assured that it is not fpb or some other hair loss condition that is permanent. Suffering from temporary hair loss has been a tough experience. I am now at a good place with the way I look, in that, I am choosing to believe that this is something that will correct itself...crossing the alternative bridge when I come to it. I just can't believe how unaware I was about the many changes that occur during pregnancy! I am also much more conscience about what goes into my body! To sum it all up, I hope that all of you lovely ladies are now staring down at your beautiful babies!!!with a full head of hair;)
