I only went once to her meeting, I was living in Utah county at the time and it just wasn't very easy to get there with a newborn and a 2yo. I have just the 2 girls, who are now 4 & 2. I was still nursing my 2yo when my youngest was born, so I considered myself pretty knowledgable about bfing....boy was I wrong. For some reason, my daughter didn't want to eat..by breast, bottle, etc.. As a newborn, she was happy going 6+ hours without eating and then scream when I tried to get her to eat. I have no idea how she gained weight those first few months or how I kept up my supply, but somehow we made it through. About 4 months, she started nursing good...and THEN we got thrush :)
What kind of eating problems does your daughter have? Mine has always had a bad gag reflex. Still to this day, if I try and wash her face while something is in there, she'll have to spit it out. She hasn't ever really been a good eater, but she's getting better. I don't know what I would've done up until now if she wasn't bfing, because I know that she's getting something great still.
I think it's good to go to the meetings before the baby is born...that way you some sort of support system in place in case you do have problems with your next one...someone that you can call in the middle of the night (because we know that that's when most of the problems arise).
it's good to talk to someone on this board..it's been so dead lately!
