Subject:	hair dye and breastfeeding

I have a one month old baby who is exclusively breastfed. I want to dye my hair, but I cannot find any information on whether or not it is safe to do while breastfeeding. I have not asked my midwife yet, I will be seeing her at the end of the month. I would rather wait until she is weaned than expose my daughter's system to the chemicals from the dye. Does anyone have any information on this?
